Purple Panther Publications got its name from insulation boards used in the construction of a small outbuilding where I spent a lot of time over the course of a few years. The outbuilding became a small sanctuary space for me. I'd lay down in quiet meditation and stare at the unfinished ceiling, tracing the outline drawing of the Pink Panther character, only the color of the boards was clearly purple. I wondered if that was a clever marketing ploy, if the manufacturing color was just "off,” and if people even remembered the Pink Panther cartoon. "Purple Panther," I liked that! The alliteration was fun, catchy and thought it would be a great name for our budding publishing company. 

Purple Panther Publications is a Seattle-based entity under the Finding Gnomes Creative Collective, LLC whose founders consist of a professional graphic designer and an actor / creator. They create journals that appeal to universal themes as well as their own interests, and the whimsy, creative, and gems of ideas yet to be discovered.
